Practice at Mueller park

If you have been following our blog you know that we love to shoot videos on our trips. One of our biggest frustrations when shooting video is the inability of our current equipment to capture distant objects as well as preform well in low light settings. With our trip to one of Columbia’s mountain cities about a month away we decided to upgrade our filming equipment to mitigate these frustrations. We decided on the Nikon D3300 and thanks to generous family members we were able to purchase the majority of the camera with Amazon gift cards.

Now that we have received our camera, the next challenge is figuring out how to use it. We both are quick learners, but we don’t want to find ourselves in Columbia not knowing how to properly use the camera or realize that we should have purchased additional equipment. After watching several YouTube videos on how to use the D3300 we set off to Mueller park here in Austin and thought we would give it a shot (pun intended).

Below is a few of the photos we took while we were out as well as a compiled video. We had a lot of fun watching our dog Garbage interact with birds five times his size.    We were also pretty happy to find the flock of Monk Parakeets that fly around Austin. Hope you enjoy.
