We headed to Cancun, Mexico to finish off 2016 as well as bring in 2017. In Mexico, we were joined by friends and family. We decided to stay skip the hotel zone in Cancun and rented a house in Gran Sante Fe 2. Which is a housing development inside the city of Cancun. Not only was the area extremely safe, it was very vibrant. We we able to frequently interact with neighbors and we believe had a much more rich experience than we would have had if we stayed in the hotel zone. While on the Yucatán Peninsula, we visited many beaches (playas) as well as a few Mayan ruins. This trip had its ups and downs, but at the end of the day it was one of the best trips we had been on. We are very blessed we were able to share such a wonderful experience with our friends and family that came along for the ride!
